Bhubaneswar: Naveen Patnaik today termed the State budget as the ‘double disappointment of double engine government.
“This budget is a double engine, double disappointment,” Patnaik told reporters.
“I noticed that they have named more than 40 of my government schemes. They have just renamed them. I will go through in detail and then I will give my comments on the State budget,” Patnaik said in his first reaction to the State budget.
Congress MLA Tara Bahinipati said that there is nothing new in this budget. There is nothing for the women and farmers. They have just increased 10-20% of the existing schemes. They renamed 42 schemes with no new schemes. They have betrayed and disappointed the people completely, he added.
Odisha Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday presented his government’s first state budget in the Odisha Assembly for the financial year 2024-25.
