Pregnant Woman, Minor Daughter Go Missing In River In Koraput

Jeypore: A pregnant woman and her 6-year-old daughter were washed away in the Janjavati river in Narayanpatna of Koraput district.

The woman was identified as Moti Tadingi, wife of Rama Tadingi of Dockari Ghati village under Narayanapatna police station.

The woman, due to give birth on August 18, was attempting to cross the river for defecation when the incident occurred.

A search operation by the local fire brigade team and police is underway, but the duo remains untraced.
