Odisha Vigilance Launches DA Searches At 12 Locations Of OBCC Additional Chief Engineer, Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Monday launched simultaneous searches at several locations linked to Pradeep Kumar Rath, Additional Chief Engineer, Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC), office at the Chief Construction Engineer, R & B Cuttack Circle, based on allegations of amassing disproportionate assets (DA) by the accused official.

The simultaneous house searches are being conducted by 9 DSPs, 11 Inspectors, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, at the following 12 places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Khordha.

  • Residential property of Pradeep Kumar Rath, located at Satya Vihar, Pandara, Rasulgarh, Unit- 38 in Bhubaneswar.
  • Apartment (B-2) of Pradeep Kumar Rath, located at Oyster Apartment, Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.
  • A double-storeyed building of Rath located at Jagannahpur (Acharya Nagar), Bhadrak town, in Bhadrak district.
  • The office room of Rath, located at the O/o Chief Construction Engineer R&B Circle at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
  • The paternal house of Rath located at Village Purusandha, under Agarpada police limits in Bhadrak district.
  • Another paternal house of Rath located at Randiasasan village under the Randiahat post office in Bhadrak.
  • A residential property of Rath’s close associate located at Jajpur town in Jajpur district.
  • A residential property of his other associate located at Shastri Nagar in Bhubaneswar, Khordha district.
  • A medicine store of his son located at Indradhanu Market in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.
  • The searches are still underway and a detailed report is awaited.
