Bhubaneswar: A migrant worker hailing from Odisha’s Subarnapur died in Mumbai after he came in contact with live wires while working at a company.
The deceased, Suresh Rana, was a resident of Shankara village under Binika police station in Subarnapur district. He had gone to Mumbai 15 years ago to work as a migrant worker.
According to reports, Suresh was working at the company on the day of the incident when he came into contact with a live wire. His colleagues immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
Suresh’s family members were informed about the incident, but they did not have adequate money to bring his body back home. With the help of his colleagues, his body was brought to Bhubaneswar and then taken to his village, where his last rites were performed.
Suresh’s death has left his family in despair. It is learnt that he was the eldest of five brothers and had no father. His family is now struggling to come to terms with the loss.
