Jaipatna (Kalahandi): The number of diarrhoea cases has surged in Tingopkhan village under Jaipatna block in Kalahandi district. The number of infected persons has reached 29.
The Health Department has set up a medical camp in the village and door to door awareness drive is underway. Critical patients have been shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Jaipatna.
Kalahandi Collector P Anwesha Reddy today visited the CHC and took stock of the health condition of the infected.
“Collector visited CHC today. She enquired about the health condition of the patients. There are two new cases. They are children and their condition is stable. RWSS people have been advised to seal the tube wells in the village and provide water through tankers. Collector Ma’am emphasized stopping consumption of water from tube wells. At present, there are nine patients in the hospital and 17 have been discharged so far,” informed Dr Subhrajit Biswal, Community Public Health Officer, Jaipatna
