H&UD Principal Secy Reviews Preparedness Of ULBs For I Day Celebrations

Bhubaneswar: In view of the ensuing 78th Independence Day, Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Usha Padhee, took a review meeting to assess the preparedness of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across the state.

The meeting, which took place via video conference, was attended by  DMA Debasis Singh and Additional  Secy Rabindra Kumar Sahu alongside Commissioners & Executive Officers from all ULBs, including five Municipal Corporations.

During the review, Padhee emphasized the importance of Celebrating Independence Day with the spirit of patriotism and unity. She urged all ULBs to actively participate in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, encouraging every household to hoist the national flag with pride. This initiative, which forms a significant part of the nationwide celebrations, aims to foster a sense of belonging and national pride among citizens. She stressed the need for proper coordination and planning to make the event a grand success, reflecting the collective spirit of the nation.

The meeting concluded with Padhee urging all ULBs to work diligently and ensure that every corner of the state resonates with the spirit of independence on August 15th and to make this year’s Independence Day celebrations a memorable and unifying experience for all citizens.
