Bhubaneswar: Food safety officials today carried out raids at an illegal ice cream factory in Bhitaragadi slum in Paradip.
The factory was running there for a long time without a license and necessary documents. Sub-standard ice cream was being prepared. A man was manufacturing ice cream with the brand name ‘Amalvita’ and supplying to the local market.
Low-quality ingredients and packaging materials were used for making ice cream.
The food safety officer found these materials and inspected food stalls at the trade fair at Paradip Beach.
