19 Passengers Injured As Bus Overturns In Odisha’s Bargarh

Bargarh: At least 19 passengers were injured, two critically, after a bus overturned near Kusanpuri in Barpali of Odisha’s Bargarh district on Thursday night. All the injured have been admitted to the Bargarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

According to reports, the accident occurred when a passenger bus named ‘Bulbul’ was en route to Damanjodi from Sambalpur. The bus overturned on the roadside near Kusanpuri in Bargarh. The condition of two accident victims is said to be critical.

The passengers of the bus alleged that the accident occurred as the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. Upon being informed, police arrived at the spot and seized the bus.

The driver is said to be absconding after the accident.
