Bhubaneswar: Thirteen Odisha Police personnel will receive the President’s Police Medals this year. Two Odisha Police personnel will receive the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM), and 11 others will be honoured with the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM).
Suresh Dev Datta Singh, Additional Director General of Police, and Sachinanda Rath, Deputy Superintendent of Police, will be honoured with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. Kaushika Kumar Naik, Deputy Commandant; Sanat Kumar Nathsharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Kavita Sahu, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Pramoda Kumar Mohanta, Constable; Pradyumna Kumar Nanda, Sub Inspector; Babula Samal, Assistant Sub Inspector; Sanjukta Patanaik, Constable; Haribandhu Bhatra, Inspector; and Tophan Behera, Havildar; will receive the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service.
In addition, Prakash Chandra Sahoo, Company Commander, and Simanchala Kundu, Civil Defence Volunteer, will receive the Home Guard & Civil Defence Meritorious Service medal.
