Two Boys Drown In Pond In Nuapada

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident two kids drowned in a pond at Sareipalli village under Jonk police limits in Nuapada district on Monday.

The deceased boys have been identified as Hemraj Bariha (4) and Sankar Bariha (4).

According to reports, Hemraj and Sankar after playing with mud had gone bathe in the pond in the afternoon. A woman, who was also bathing in the pond, on seeing the two kids drown cried for help. Passersby rescued the kids in critical condition.

They were rushed to the district headquarters hospital at Nuapada. However, the kids were pronounced dead by the doctors at the hospital.

On being informed, Jonk police seized the bodies for post-mortem and registered two unnatural death cases.
