Bhubaneswar: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, on Tuesday.
According to sources, Oram tested Dengue positive on August 11. He was undergoing treatment at a Bhubaneswar-based private hospital where his wife Jhingia Oram died after being detected with the disease.
Oram had recovered from dengue and returned home after treatment. However, the sudden demise of his wife had left Oram deeply saddened and worried. Later, he suddenly fell ill again.
It is pertinent to mention that on August 18, Oram’s wife Jhingia succumbed to the mosquito-borne disease after battling with the disease for the last few days. She was 58. She died while undergoing treatment at the hospital in the state capital.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Speaker Surama Padhi and several Ministers and leaders paid their last respects to the departed soul at her residence at Lumbini Vihar in Bhubaneswar.
