Bhubaneswar: Rourkela vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested Ganesh Kalser, a technical assistant of Soil Testing Laboratory in Chief District Agriculture Officer (CDAO), Jharsuguda while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000 from a contractual worker to process a file for facilitating continuance of his contractual job.
The anti-graft officials recovered the bribe amount from the possession of accused Kalser and seized it.
Following the successful trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Kalser from the DA angle.
The vigilance wing of Rourkela registered a case in this connection.
