Bolero Overturns After Collision With Truck, Driver Dead

Bhubaneswar: A person died and two sustained severe injuries when the Bolero they were travelling in overturned after hitting a truck near Mathura Square in Kalahandi district, on Friday.

The deceased and the injured belong to a family and are residents of Mahulapatna village.

According to sources, the accident took place the Bolero was on its way to a hospital. All passengers trapped inside the Bolero when it overturned after being collided with a truck.

Upon being informed, police and fire brigade officials rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers by cutting open the vehicle. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where the driver was declared dead. The condition of two other passengers is stated to be critical.

The truck driver fled the scene after the accident, leaving the vehicle behind. Police, meanwhile, seized the truck and are investigating the incident.
