Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance today conducted simultaneous house searches at seven locations in Bhubaneswar and Baripada in connection with allegations of possession of disproportionate assets against a financial advisor and chief accounts officer (FA & CAO) of the Odisha Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC).
The raids are conducted at the properties of Bijaya Kumar Mangaraj, FA & CAO of OSRTC in multiple locations.
The searches, carried out by a team of eight DSPs, eight Inspectors, nine ASIs, and other staff, were based on search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
The locations where searches are being carried out include—
– Flat 301, Tower 6, Z1 Estate, Nandankannan Road, Nandan Vihar, Bhubaneswar
– A double-storeyed building at Plot No. 918, New Colony, Palasuni, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar
– A double-storeyed building at Plot No. 892, New Colony, Palasuni, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar
– Bhuinya Niwas, Dhipasahi, Station Road, Baripada, Mayurbhanj district
– The office of the Financial Advisor cum Chief Accounts Officer of OSRTC, Bhubaneswar
– The office of the Financial Advisor cum Special Secretary, Commerce & Transport, 5th Floor, Kharavel Bhawan, Bhubaneswar
– The office of the Director, Business Development and Finance, ORIDL, 6th Floor, IDCO Tower, Janpath, Bhubaneswar
The search operation is currently underway, and further details are expected to emerge after the raids.
