Ganjam Hooch Tragedy: Death Toll Goes Up To 4

Ganjam: With another victim succumbing to spurious liquor, the death toll in the Chikiti hooch tragedy in Odisha’s Ganjam district reached four on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Baya Sethi of Karbalua village. He was undergoing treatment in the ICU at MKCG Hospital after he was seriously ill following the consumption of hooch.

Earlier, three people died in this incident. Jura Behera and Loknath Behera of Jenapur died soon after the incident. Later, Laxman Behera died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

As of date, three other victims are undergoing treatment in the ICU of MKCG Hospital, while seven victims have been released after treatment.
