Sundargarh: Newborn Dumped In Forest, Dies

Sundargarh: A newborn was recovered from a forest near Salangabuda village under Dhuruadihi police limits in Sundargarh district on Wednesday.

According to reports, Gouranga Bag of Salangabuda village while going to his farmland to apply fertiliser in the morning heard cries of the newborn in the nearby woods. He took the newborn to his home while fellow villagers called the ambulance.

The newborn was rushed to the district headquarters hospital here. However, doctors at the hospital declared the baby dead.
