Missing Youth’s Body Fished Out Of Baitarini In Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Fire Services personnel fished out the body of a youth who had gone missing since Wednesday from the Baitarini River on Friday. Locals spotted the body of the youth floating in the Baitarini River this morning.

The deceased was identified as Sanjit Naik of Kandara village in Keonjhar district.

According to reports, Sanjit had gone to bathe in the Baitarini River on Wednesday and slipped into the deep waters of the swollen river near Kanpur Dam. Despite a thorough search operation by the Fire Services personnel, they could not trace his whereabouts

Police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. An investigation into the incident is underway, said the police.
