The meeting was attended by DC-cum-ACS, Water Resources, ADG, Law & Order, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) and other senior officers of OSDMA and other departments this morning.

Following the meeting, the state government deputed DG (Fire Services & Home Guards) Sundhansu Sarangi, Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi and DIG (Southern Division) Charan Meena to supervise and assist the Malkangiri district administration in restoring normalcy in the region.

As of now, six units of ODRF have been deployed in Malkangiri and two each in Koraput and Jeypore, Rayagada, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Boudh and Bolangir.  Twelve more teams are kept in readiness for five coastal and adjoining districts, including Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh and Boudh.
