Bhubaneswar: A labourer sustained injuries when a crane being used to lift materials at a construction site collapsed in Bhubaneswar’s Unit-8 OMC Colony, on Wednesday.
The mishap took place when construction of a ten-storey building at OMC Colony was underway. Fortunately, 14-15 labourers working under the crane escaped unhurt.
The reason behind the collapse is still unknown. However, officials from the construction company claim that no labourers were working under the crane when it collapsed. They also stated that necessary safety measures were being followed during construction.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
