Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast predicting light to moderate rain and thundershowers in Odisha on September 18 and 19.
On Monday, interior Odisha will witness light to moderate rainfall, while Coastal Odisha will experience scattered showers. On Tuesday, the rainfall is expected to subside with only a few places receiving light to moderate showers.
However, the regional weather office issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning to Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts for September 20.
As per IMD bulletin, thunderstorm with lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Jharsuguda on September 21.
