Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who is currently on a three-day visit to Keonjhar, took some time to relax and reconnect with his roots. He enjoyed tea with old friends and honoured a tea stall owner, on Saturday.
Taking a break from his busy schedule, CM met his old friends at Keonjhar Stadium and enjoyed tea at his favourite stall, a place he’d frequented for years.
After a morning walk at the stadium, Majhi had a glass of black tea with friends, reminiscing about old times. The tea stall owner, fondly known as Bideshi Babu, was praised by Majhi for his service spanning over six decades.
Majhi also felicitated the tea stall owner for his dedication saying “I have come here to have ‘desi’ tea from ‘Bideshi Babu’.”
During his visit, Majhi reminisced about his morning strolls and engaging discussions with friends, including journalists, retired officials, athletes, and locals, all centred around Keonjhar’s growth and progress.
CM Majhi assured that his government will consider all necessary measures for Keonjhar’s comprehensive development, aiming to make it one of the leading districts in the state. He envisioned a future where poverty would be eradicated, and the district’s natural resources would be utilized efficiently to drive progress and prosperity.
