Ex Check Gate Staff & Spouse Get 3 Yrs RI Each In DA Case

Bhubaneswar: A Special Vigilance Court in Berhampur on Saturday sentenced a former staff of Girisola inter-state check gate under RTO Ganjam Satyanarayan Satapathy and his spouse Jhunulata Satapathy to three years rigorous imprisonment (RI) and fine of Rs 20,000 each after convicting them in disproportionate assets (DA) case.

The Odisha Vigilance had charge sheeted Satyanarayan and his wife Jhunulata under sections  13(2) read with 13(1)(e) PC Act 1988 and 109 IPC for possession of disproportionate assets (DA).
