Bhubaneswar: At least 10 districts of Odisha are likely to experience light to moderate rain/ thundershowers during the next three hours. The districts that are likely to be affected include Khurda, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Ganjam, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning at 7.00 am on Wednesday.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather conditions and remain indoors during the rainy spells to avoid lightning strikes. Those who are outdoors should take shelter during lightning strikes.
Meanwhile, heavy rain is likely to pound several parts of the state for the next four days under the influence of a low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.
