Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Crime Branch on Friday moved the Bhubaneswar SDJM Court seeking permission for polygraph test of the four suspended police officials of Bharatpur police station for their alleged involvement in the custodial assault on an Army officer and his fiancée on September 15.
While the court has already granted permission for the polygraph test and brain mapping of the suspended IIC Dinakrushna Mishra, who has consented to the tests.
The Crime Branch will now take Dinkrushna to Gandhinagar, Gujarat, where the polygraph test along with a narco analysis and brain finger printing test.
Mishra along with four other cops of Bharatpur police station were suspended for alleged brutal assault of an Army Captain and his fiancée in custody when they had gone to the police station to lodge a complaint against road Romeos. Now an application has been submitted in the court for the polygraph test of the other four suspended police officials — SI Baishalini Panda, ASI Rakmayi Sahu, ASI Sagarika Rath and Constable Balaram Hasda.
