Jajpur: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched a sharp attack on three unnamed BJD leaders, accusing their families, accusing them of looting Jajpur in the pretext of development.
Addressing the BJP’s membership drive at Barchana, Majhi alleged that these families have failed to deliver justice to the people of Jajpur and their actions led to the degradation of the region.
“Three families have looted Jajpur in the name of development. These leaders have not given justice to the people but contributed to the destruction of the area,” said Majhi without directly naming the individuals.
“The BJD ruled Odisha for 24 years and its leaders, who were representing Jajpur, never refrained themselves from acting as slaves. Jajpur is rich in mines and minerals. But, there is no development of people in the area,” he added.
“Bharatiya Janata Party, which gives priority to the development of the country and the state, has got an opportunity to serve today. The new government is giving importance to the overall development of the people as a government of the people; Majhi said, adding, “In the last election, you have given a befitting reply to the lies of the previous government. They cheated you by talking about the development of the state and Jajpur but did nothing.”
“Let us join this massive membership campaign to further empower the Bharatiya Janata Party for the overall development of the state along with Jajpur,” Majhi appealed to the people.
