Cuttack: Orissa High Court on Tuesday served a notice to Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA from Rourkela Sarada Nayak in a case of alleged EVM tampering against him.
Single judge bench of the Orissa High Court Justice Sashikant Mishra issued the notice to Nayak to submit his reply in the matter. The next hearing in the matter has been fixed for November 19.
A local voter Radheshyam Yadav had alleged that during counting of votes in the last General elections EVM was tampered at the instance of Nayak. The petitioner has submitted CCTV footage and photographs in support of his allegation with the court.
