Dhamnagar: Section 163 imposed by the administration in Dhamnagar NAC of Bhadrak district has been lifted. A decision in this regard was taken by the administration as the situation there is said to be peaceful.
It is worth noting that communal tension gripped the area on September 27 following an objectionable post on Facebook. Dhamnagar NAC and its nearby areas witnessed communal flare-up and Section 163 was imposed in the entire area.
Later, DGP YB Khurania reviewed the situation at Dhamnagar NAC. He held talks with senior officials at Dhamnagar police station in the presence of Eastern DIG and Bhadrak SP. After reviewing the situation there, the DGP appealed to people to maintain law and order.
