Bhubaneswar: The State government will soon issue a helpline number for Habisyalis in Puri, enabling them to report their concerns to the district administration.

According to Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, the administration will promptly address these issues. To facilitate the Habisyalis, the government has implemented various measures, including designated entry and exit points to manage crowds.

Two gates have been allocated for entry while Devotees can exit through three gates, the minister added.

The government aims to provide seamless accommodations. In case of any issues, Habisyalis can dial to the district administration through the helpline seeking cooperation. Although registration had a fixed timeline, the law minister urges unregistered Habisyalis to register during the scheduled period next year.

Hundreds of Habisyalis protested today in Puri after the online registration portal unexpectedly closed. The Shree Jagannath Temple attracts a large number of Habisyalis during the holy month of Kartik for Radha Damodara Brata.

The government had announced accommodations, requiring online registration from October 6, with registration initially scheduled from November 6 to 11. However, the portal closed unexpectedly, leaving many unregistered.
