Bhubaneswar: Moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain is likely to affect some parts of districts of Cuttack (including Cuttack City), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar
City) within the next three hours, said a nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD’s) Bhubaneswar centre at 3.35 PM on Saturday.
The IMD has issued an ‘Orange’ warning for the above mentioned districts.
Similarly, light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain is likely to affect some parts of districts of Balasore, Malkangiri, Angul within next three hours.
The weather agency has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
