Bhubaneswar: A minor boy was found hanging from a banyan tree in the Lahunipada police limits of Sundargarh district after attending a village festival on Monday.
According to reports, the minor boy went to see the festival in his village but did not return home until late at night. His family searched for him but could not find him.
On Monday morning, villagers discovered his body hanging from a banyan tree near Halladikancha School. The family alerted the police about the situation.
Upon receiving the report, police recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. They are currently investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s family has alleged that their child was murdered and later his body was hung from the tree.
