New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have been regularly taking out padyatras in the national capital while they are meeting people and discussing the achievements of the AAP government and also clicking selfies with the people during their interactions.
In a similar context, AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha visited the national capital’s Chhatarpur area on Thursday and conducted a padyatra. During his foot march, he also met people and apprised them about the achievements of the AAP-led Delhi government.
Raghav Chadha met people of all age groups and genders, from young to old, and clicked photographs with them.
In a similar context, AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha visited the national capital’s Chhatarpur area on Thursday and conducted a padyatra. During his march, he also met people and apprised them of the achievements of the AAP-led Delhi government.
Raghav Chadha shared several pictures of the Chhatarpur padyatra and expressed happiness over the love he received from the people.
In the photographs, he is seen having interactions with people. He also met shopkeepers and interacted with them.
Just like Raghav Chadha, AAP convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Saurabh Bhardwaj and other party leaders are also regularly conducting padyatras in Delhi while listing the achievements of the AAP-led government among the people.
These foot marches are also being linked to the preparations for the Assembly elections to be held in Delhi early next year.
According to political analysts, it would be interesting to see whether the AAP and Congress contest the Delhi Assembly elections as an alliance, or against each other.
Though the Congress and AAP were in alliance in the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won all the seven seats in Delhi.
In fact, a few days ago, while talking to IANS, Raghav Chadha had indirectly criticised the Congress for its defeat in the Haryana elections.
He said that had the Congress shown unity in the Haryana elections, the results could have been different.
However, both parties had contested the Haryana elections separately.
Raghav Chadha had said that the AAP is capable of defeating the BJP in Delhi.
“This is our self-confidence, not overconfidence. The results of Haryana seem less like a victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and more like a Congress’ defeat. The results show that if the elections had been fought with unity in the state, the results could have been the opposite,” he said.
