Bhubaneswar: The Women and Child Development (W&CD) Department has issued a show cause notice to Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW) Minati Behera with regard to her unsatisfactory performance in disposal of cases and holding of Camp Courts.
“I am directed to say that your performance with regard to disposal of cases and holding of Camp Courts has been found to be unsatisfactory during your tenure in Odisha State Commission for Women,” reads a letter issued by Special Secretary, W& CD Department on Monday.
The W&CD Department in the letter has asked Behera to explain as to why action, as deemed fit, shall not be initiated against her for the lapses as defined under Section 4(3)(d)&(f) of the Odisha State Commission for Women Act, 1993.
In the letter Behera has been requested to submit her show cause reply to the W&CD Department by 4:00 P.M of 29th October, 2024 affirmatively.
