Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will celebrate this year’s Diwali in his hometown of Raikala village in Keonjhar district.
During this Diwali, he is visiting his hometown for two days, starting Thursday, to celebrate the festival with his family and local villagers.
Following tribal traditions, a special puja will be held in the area and the Chief Minister will participate in this event.
Majhi and his wife, Priyanka Marandi, visited the Unit-1 market in Bhubaneswar, where they purchased diyas and other items for Diwali rituals.
Speaking to the media, Majhi wished everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali, and urged everyone to buy local products to celebrate the festival, which will benefit the local community.
