Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Secondary Education on Saturday suspended Hemant Kumar Dehury, the headmaster of Jhadeshwari Government High School in Tolkani, Jajpur, citing negligence in his official duties.
During the suspension period, Dehury will report to the office of the District Education Officer, Jajpur, and will receive subsistence allowance as per government regulations.
The suspension followed allegations that Dehury had been serving students only rice and salt as part of the mid-day meal. This led to a formal investigation by the Directorate after a written complaint was filed.
According to sources, Dehury’s suspension was based on the findings of this inquiry.
