Bhubaneswar: An orientation training programme for Junior Assistants commenced at the State Institute for Women and Children in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Principal Secretary of the Women & Child Development (W&CD) Department, Subha Sharma, joined as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony and highlighted the programme’s objectives.
Sharma emphasized that this training would enhance the effectiveness of grassroots work, as Junior Assistants play a key role in communicating the department’s schemes and initiatives to the public.
She added that feedback and suggestions gathered from participants during the programme would be valuable for the department’s future planning.
This 23-day training initiative will be running from November 4 to November 27, 2024. In the first phase, which started today, 40 participants from Angul, Balangir, Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, and Cuttack districts will undergo training.
The second phase will include 40 participants from Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, and Kalahandi districts.
The third phase will cover 40 participants from Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, and Malkangiri, while the fourth and final phase will train 47 participants from Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, and Sundargarh. In total, 167 Junior Assistants will receive training over four phases, with each phase lasting three days.
The training program will cover topics in accounting, administrative work, and the computerization of administrative processes, including HRMS (Human Resource Management System).
