Bhubaneswar: The chief administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has suspended another servitor of Srimandir in connection with the attack on the senior servitor and supervisor Baxi Ramachandra Pratihari.
The SJTA chief administrator Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee suspended servitor Amritanshu Samantara following police investigation report.
Ramachandra Pratihari was attacked for protesting against the illegal sale of Rabidi Anand Bazar in Srimandi. After the Puri police informed about the involvement of Amritanshu Samantara in this attack, action has been taken by the temple administration. He was suspended and barred from entering the temple.
The servitor, Chandan Samantara was earlier suspended by the temple administration for his involvement in the attack.
Ramachandra Pratihari was attacked with a Bhijali while was standing at the West gate of the temple. Pratihari sustained critical injuries to his right hand and was admitted to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital.
