Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has given the green signal for the Bali Yatra festival to take place in both the upper and lower grounds in Cuttack this year.
This decision comes with specific guidelines to ensure a smooth and safe experience for revellers. The district administration will construct special roads to manage the crowds and prohibit vendors from setting up shop on roadsides and footpaths.
Lawyer Bibhuti Bhusan Choudhury said that the court has clearly mentioned that the administration will create a green corridor for ambulances and a one-way passage will be implemented near the Gadagadia temple to prevent congestion. Additionally, Cantonment Road will be designated as a safe zone for school children, buses, and guardians. Vendors will be relocated to a designated place to do their business.
The Bali Yatra festival typically takes place over seven days, starting on Kartika Purnima, and features cultural programs, food stalls, and traditional activities. With the court’s approval, this year’s festival promises to be a grand celebration.
