Cuttack: The Cuttack district administration has announced specific traffic restrictions to facilitate the smooth movement of devotees travelling to Dhabaleswar temple for the upcoming Panchaka and Badaosa rituals, held in the holy Kartika month.
These restrictions will remain in force from November 11 to 15 to manage the large number of visitors expected at the Shaivite shrine.
Located on an island within the Mahanadi River near Cuttack city, Dhabaleswar temple draws thousands of devotees each year from districts like Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, and Jajpur.
To ensure ease of access, the administration has restricted heavy vehicle movement on Madhusudan bridge, a key route to the shrine, during these dates.
According to the restrictions, heavy vehicles approaching from Cuttack will need to use National Highway (NH)-55 via Nuapatna Square.
Similarly, those coming from Athagarh will be redirected to NH-55 through Kakhadi Square or Nidhipur Square.
These measures aim to create a safer, more accessible path for devotees visiting the revered temple during the sacred Kartika rituals.
