Bhubaneswar: In a significant move, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has announced that devotees will be allowed to enter the Srimandir through all four gates from Saturday (November 16).
The decision was made at a meeting chaired by Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee regarding darshan of deities after Kartik month. The meeting was attended by the Collector, Superintendent of Police, and senior police officers.
Devotees will be required to exit through three gates, excluding the Singh Dwar (Lion Gate), where exit is strictly prohibited.
However, servitors and their family members can enter and exit through all gates. A decision on special darshan arrangements at Nata Mandap is pending and will be implemented after consultation with the temple management committee, a communication issued by the SJTA stated.
