Bhubaneswar: A minor fire broke out in the Kanniyakumari-Dibrugarh Vivek Superfast Express near Rambhila in Bhadrak district on Saturday due to brake binding.
As per reports, heavy smoke started billowing from the wheels as a result of the binding. However, the fire was triggered when excess heat built up from jammed train brakes.
Fortunately, the incident was quickly brought under control, and no casualties were reported thanks to the quick action of railway authorities. The railway authorities doused the fire before it could spread.
The train, which runs from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, left for its destination after 20 minutes.
