Odisha Mandap Wows Crowds At IITF 2024

New Delhi: The Odisha Mandap at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) in New Delhi has emerged as a crowd-puller, captivating visitors with its exquisite artistic style and cultural elegance.

Thousands of visitors, both domestic and international, have admired the diverse cultural artifacts and products showcased across various stalls, according to an official release.

Aligned with the core theme of this year’s IITF, Viksit Bharat @ 2047, the Odisha Pavilion strikes a fine balance between showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage and its strides toward future development. This year, the pavilion features 25 special stalls, exhibiting the best of Odisha’s artistry, cultural vibrancy, and progressive initiatives.

Prominent displays include tribal art and crafts, products by Mission Shakti Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Kandhamal spices, organic items like Kalajira rice and palm candy, as well as culinary delicacies made from Shree Anna and brown rice flakes.

The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) stall has become a crowd favorite, offering Odia culinary delights such as Pithas, Rasagola, Chhena Jhili, Chhena Poda, and Dahibara.

The pavilion’s architectural grandeur, featuring creative depictions of Odisha’s iconic Mukteswar Temple, Ratnagiri Arch, and Sun Temple at Konark, has drawn visitors in droves. Over 43,000 people have visited the pavilion so far, generating business of more than ₹14 lakh.

Adding to the allure are live demonstrations by skilled artists showcasing Pattachitra painting, filigree work, and Sabai grass crafts, which have become major highlights. Eminent dignitaries and artists have praised the pavilion for its vibrant display of Odia identity and its alignment with the vision of a developed India by 2047.
