Bhubaneswar: Odia film director Bobby Islam has received a death threat via a WhatsApp call. He filed a complaint at Daragha Bazar police station in Cuttack regarding the incident.
In the complaint, he alleged that on Tuesday at 8 pm, he received an audio call from an unknown number on WhatsApp. He received repeated calls from the same number. The caller abused him in obscene language and threatened to kill him.
The director further mentioned that the name of the caller on the Truecaller App was Barik Soumya Ranjan 993. The caller, taking actor Manoj Mishra’s name, threatened him that if Bobby spoke a word against Manoj Dada, he would be hacked to death.
The caller also abused him in extremely obscene language. Bobby immediately video-called him, and the caller picked up the call with his face covered with a cloth.
