Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that a cyclonic circulation has developed in the southeast Bay of Bengal and it is likely to intensify and turn into a low pressure on Friday.
According to the weather office, the low pressure may take the form of a cyclonic storm in the next 48 hours. If it turns into a cyclonic storm it will touch the Tamil Nadu coast on November 29. However, the cyclonic storm will have no impact on Odisha.
Meanwhile, the night (minimum) temperatures have plummeted further in several parts of Odisha.
In the next five days, there will be no much change in the prevailing weather. The weather is expected to be mostly dry.
The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded in K. Udayagiri is 6.2°C, while the minimum temperate at Similiguda in Koraput was 8.1°C, Phulbani recorded 9.5°C, and it was 10.5°C at Daringbadi.
