Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has taken a significant step to ease the land sale process in the state.
A decision in this regard was taken at a review meeting held under the chairmanship of Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, and attended by Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushan Chandra Mahapatra.
The meeting aimed to address the legal hurdles in the land sale process, which have been causing difficulties for people in selling their land. The meeting was attended by officials from the Revenue Department, Urban Development Department, and other stakeholders.
During the meeting, it was decided to simplify the land sale process by amending the RERA Act, Development Act, and Regional Authority Act into Odia. Pujari has directed officials of the Revenue and Urban Development Departments to submit a detailed report within seven days.
The government has also instructed the departments to identify the bottlenecks in the land sale process and take necessary steps to resolve them.
