Bhubaneswar: In an effort to support farmers, Odisha launched a 24-hour control room and a toll-free helpline to address paddy procurement issues. The facility was inaugurated Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra.
This initiative aims to provide immediate assistance and resolve concerns faced by farmers during the procurement process.
Farmers can now report any issue or seek guidance by calling the toll-free number 1967. The control room will operate round-the clock, ensuring that farmers receive timely support and their grievances are addressed promptly.
Speaking on the occasion, Patra emphasised the importance of this initiative in enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the procurement process. He assured farmers that the government is committed to addressing their concerns and providing the necessary support to ensure a smooth and hassle-free procurement season.
The command control center, established under the aegis of the supplies department, facilitates comprehensive CCTV surveillance of all mandis.
