Cuttack: Barang police on Wednesday exhumed the body of a man from Ratagarh village. The deceased has been identified as Rajnikant Behera of Alsua village under Chandaka police limits.
According to reports, Rajnikant Behera had been living in Ratagarh village with his second wife for the last 12 years. On Wednesday, the Rajnikant’s first wife, Pramila Behera, filed a complaint at the Barang police station that her husband had been killed and buried.
A team of officials, including Barang IIC Biswajit Nayak, investigated the incident and exhumed the body in the presence of the Barang Tehsildar. The body has been sent to Cuttack Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
On the other hand, relatives of the second wife said Rajnikant died in a train accident. They alleged that they had informed Rajnikant’s relatives but the latter did not respond to their message. Subsequently, they buried Rajnikant, said Kalia Samal, a relative of the deceased’s second wife.
