Bhubaneswar: In a shocking revelation, the Vigilance Department has unearthed a massive stash of assets linked to Rebati Raman Joshi, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) of Hirakud Wildlife Division Sambalpur.
The searches, conducted at multiple locations, have revealed a staggering array of properties, cash, and valuables.
Properties unearthed are three buildings including a triple-storeyed building with an area of 9,700 sqft in Sambalpur town, four flats including one flat in Bhubaneswar and three flats in Sambalpur town, seven plots located in prime areas of Sambalpur town and Padampur, Bargarh.
Besides, the investigative sleuths have seized Rs 14.5 lakhs in cash, gold jewellery weighing 150 grams, and silver ornaments weighing 300 grams.
The Vigilance Department has also discovered bank, insurance, and postal deposits, as well as other investments, which are being ascertained. The measurement and valuation of the properties are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
The searches were conducted following allegations of disproportionate assets against ACF Rebati Raman Joshi. The Vigilance Department is investigating the matter further
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Joshi and his family members. Details of the unearthed assets are as follows:
- One triple storeyed building with area 9,700 Sqft. at Ainthapalli, Sambalpur.
- One commercial building at Malipalli, Sambalpur on Sambalpur-Jharsuguda Road given on rent to Godrej Interio.
- One building at Padmapur, Dist-Bargarh.
- One flat in Satyam Royale Apartment at Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar.
- One 3-BHK flat vide No.A-406, City Pride Apartment building, Farm Road, Sambalpur.
- One 2-BHK flat vide No.G-6, Kanheya Block, Brijdham Housing Society, near Church Chowk, Sambalpur.
- Another 2-BHK flat vide No.G-5, Kanheya Block, Brijdham Housing Society, near Church Chowk, Sambalpur.
- 7 nos. of plots of which 4 in prime areas of Sambalpur town & 3 in Padampur, Bargarh. Details as under;
- One plot vide plot No.284/7761, Khata No.559/2868 measuring an area of A 0.055 dcml. at Ainthapalli, Sambalpur town.
- One plot vide plot No.3049/8523, Khata No.559/3535 measuring an area of A 0.05 dcml. at Ainthapalli, Sambalpur town.
- One plot vide plot No.385/7756, Khata No.559/2864 measuring an area of A 0.06 dcml. at Ainthapalli, Sambalpur town.
- One plot vide plot No.284/466, Khata No.122/1458 measuring an area of A 0.05 dcml. at Malipalli, Sambalpur.
- One plot vide plot No.2939/5672, Khata No.1309/1236 measuring an area of A 0.14 dcml. at Padampur, Bargarh.
- Two plots vide plot No.2344/8661 & 2345/8662, Khata No.1309/2337 measuring an area of A 1.70 dcml. at Padampur, Bargarh.
- The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/ flats/plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
- Cash Rs.14.5 Lakhs.
- Gold jewellery weighing 150 gms & Silver ornaments 300 gms.
