Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education has declared the exam date for the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2024. The exam will be held on January 17, 2025, in two sittings.
According to the official notification, the OSSTET exam for both Paper-I and Paper-II candidates will be conducted on the same day. The OSSTET exam will be held on January 17 with Paper I scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and Paper II from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
It may be mentioned that the OSSTET exam comprises two papers, catering to different candidate categories. Paper-I is designed for aspiring teachers in Science (PCM/CBZ), Arts, Hindi, and Classical languages (Urdu, Telugu, and Sanskrit), while Paper-II is exclusively for Physical Education teachers.
Each paper consists of 150 objective-type questions, carrying a total of 150 marks, with no negative markings for incorrect answers. The qualifying marks are set at 45% for General candidates and 35% for candidates belonging to SC, ST, PH, and SEBC categories.
The OSSTET admit card 2024 will be released on January 8, 2025. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards from its official website and verify all the details for accuracy.
