Rourkela: In a proud moment for Odisha Arunima Thakur from Rourkela has emerged as the all-India topper in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) PG 2025 exam, scoring an impressive 99.993 percentile.
According to sources, the Consortium of NLUs conducted the Common Law Admission Test for LLM (CLAT) on December 1, 2024, across 141 centres in 25 states and 4 union territories. Following the release of the final answer key, the results were announced on December 7, 2024.
In the CLAT PG 2025 results, a total of 11 candidates have achieved a remarkable 99+ percentile. This esteemed group comprises six male and five female candidates. Notably, the majority of top performers in CLAT PG 2024 hailed from New Delhi, followed closely by Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. However, Odisha girl Arunima has achieved the top honour, securing All India Rank 1 in the prestigious CLAT PG entrance examination.
Born to Amitabh Thakur, a Safety Inspector in the Safety Engineering Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) and Ruma Thakur, a teacher at Delhi Public School, Arunima’s educational journey began at Ispat English Medium School and Delhi Public School, both in Rourkela, where she consistently demonstrated academic prowess. Her impressive scores of 97.8% in Class X and 98.2% in Class XII solidified her position as a top achiever in the Steel City.
It is learnt that Arunima’s talents extend far beyond academics. As a skilled orator, she has earned widespread recognition, winning the Steel City Best Young Orator Award every year until Class XII. Her impressive debating skills also earned her a Gold Medal in the prestigious Chancellor Debate Competition.
Currently, in her final year of the five-year Integrated Law course at University Law College, Utkal University in Bhubaneswar, Arunima has already made her family and the state incredibly proud. With her sights set on becoming an IAS officer, Arunima is poised to make a lasting impact on the nation.
Arunima’s achievement is all the more remarkable considering the intense competition and the high standards set by the CLAT exam.
