Four Poachers Arrested In Balangir For Selling Wild Boar Meat

Balangir: The Forest Department staff arrested four poachers on Saturday from Muribahal village under the Bangomunda forest range in the Tureikela block of Balangir district. The arrests were made while the accused were attempting to sell wild boar meat.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Sudan Majhi, Radheshyam Dharua, Indra Dharua, and Bhajaman Majhi, all residents of Muribahal village.

In addition to confiscating wild boar meat, the Forest Department also seized other articles used in the poaching activity.

“We have apprehended four individuals for poaching a wild boar using a wire snare. They are being forwarded to court today,” said Padmanav Kumbhar, Range Officer, Bangomunda.
